Navan Youths came from behind to win the U17's Premier League ( North ) in Mullingar last Saturday.

In a closely contested first half, Navan made much of the running but only had a Fergal Cleary penalty to show for their efforts,before Mullingar struck with a break away try which gave the hosts a 7-3 lead at Half Time.

In the second half Navan upped the tempo in the game and fine tries by Fergal Cleary and Neil Kane pushed Navan into a 17-7 lead which never looked likely to be overturned. The Navan pack, with Harry Hestor and Shane Faulkner leading fro the front put in a very strong performance which gave Navan a platform to dominate the rest of the match.

Navan went on to score three further tries in the last quarter of the game through Harry Hestor, Aidan Wall and Tyron Pretorious to run out very comfortable winners.

Navan now progress to the Leinster League Quarter Final, where they play the fourth placed team in the Premier League South.
